Heraclius (610 - 641 AD). AE Follis, Constantinople mint, year 20. No legend; Heraclius (on left) and Heraclius Constantine (on right) stage facing, cross between their heads; Heraclius wears crown and military dress, holds long cross, and has moustache and long beard, his son, with short berad, wears crown and chlamys, and holds globus cruciger, monogram in left field and K in right field / Large M, ANNO left, XX right, above c surmounted by cross, beneath B, CON in ex; two countermarks: Type 1 (HPC-monogram), Type 2 (HR-monogram).

History:
In a law promulgated on 21 March 629, the Latin imperial titles were dropped altogether, and the simple formula πιστὸς ἐν Χριστῷ βασιλεύς, "faithful believer, emperor by the grace of Christ" was used instead, though Latin forms were still used for coinage.
