History:
In 446 BC the Histiaians, until now the member of the Delian Confederacy, revolted, seizured an Athenian ship and murdered its crew; Perikles sent off the existing population of the city to Macedonia and replaced them with Athenians; the exiled population probably returned home at the end of the Peloponnesian War in 404 BC.
